MLCRI was incorporated in 1991.
MLCRI’s mission is “To provide quality, safe, affordable residential housing to persons with mental retardation/developmental disabilities”.
MLCRI purchased its first home in 1993.
MLCRI is an I.R.S. certified 501 (c) (3) non profit housing corporation.
MLCRI has a seven member Board of Trustees.
MLCRI established its own community based office in January 1 2002 and is currently located at 8228 Mayfield Road, Suite IIA, Room #10, Chesterland, Ohio, 44026.
MLCRI owns 14 homes located in Chesterland, Novelty, Munson, Burton, Hambden, Chardon, South Russell, Middlefield and Bainbridge.
MLCRI has 2.8 million dollars in real estate assets.
MLCRI currently provides affordable housing for 48 tenants with special needs.
MLCRI has an Annual Operating Budget for 2008 of close to $1,000,000.
MLCRI has a five year contract with the Geauga County Board of MR/DD to provide affordable housing for its special needs residents.
MLCRI is supported financially by the Geauga County Board of MR/DD, Foundation Grants, State Grants, Federal Grants, Business donations, Local civic groups, Individual donations, Tenant rent, and regular fundraising.
